Side note: since I'm gonna be using this all day every day, I'm not really concerned about price, I'll pay stupid money if I have to, I just want the machine that'll make my life easy

Heyo, so... a couple years ago I bought a Corsair Carbide Series Alpha case with the intent to build a PC inside of it. But, I lost my job around that time and the plan kind of went out the window as I was struggling to avoid becoming homeless. That's no longer the issue, and life is sorted now so that I can carry on this little project I had intended to do from the start. The issue here is that it's my first time building a PC(despite the fact that I did online college training to fix and repair not just PC's, laptops, phones, and other devices but routers, networks, and servers as well). BUT, that all flies in my own face when I have no bloody experience with finding parts in the first place, because I've never had a job that involves me working on technology outside of the things that go wrong with my own devices at home. So, with that mind... I'm looking for a good motherboard, but truly have no idea where to start with that. That's not including the fact that the CPU socket might be pinned a certain way to prevent anything OTHER than a specific CPU to fit into the socket, planned obsolescence!
Music and coding - is this old guys going to handle it well? What should I NOT expect from this setup? The shop has also a Acer Nitro 5 ( i5-9300H 4GHz 512Gb SSD 16GB Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060) for the same price, maybe is this one better? Even though it is as ugly as sh*t. The shop has other models for a lower price - would the difference be tangible?
